<p>On the Common App, I’m asked to explain why I took time off since I last attended college. I withdrew from my last college and am applying to others 2 years later. There are many reasons, but I’m not sure how much to explain. The main one is that I wasn’t sure that college was right for me, so I took time off to work and to explore my interests and decide if I wanted to attend college or not. I also found out along the way that I do want to attend college, but I want to attend a small LAC instead of a public research university. Is this acceptable to put on my application?</p>
