I am going to be a history major and I want to be able to get straight A’s in all of my classes so that I can be admitted into some of the more prestigious law schools.

My question is, what would you consider a very easy, light workload in terms of units to be able to accomplish this with ease? And intermediate and a killing-yourself workload?

Would twelve units be what I’m looking for?

I’m going to be attending a community college and then transfer to State.

i dont understand your question.

you want the easiest college courseload? Every department has their own requirements, so you won’t be able to have total freedom. And top law schools will laugh at your application if all you have are 101 classes (i.e. english101, psych101, bio101, etc).

and each college has their own ‘normal’ courseload. some schools have an average courseload of 4 classes per semester, others have 5.

Oh, no, I’m not looking for easy classes to breeze by college. Au contraire, I want to take intellectually stimulating courses but because of that would like to take minimal units per semester, so that I will be able to get the most out of each of them.

So my question is, for you college students, do you find that 15 units per semester (the usual) is very comfortable and not a lot of stress is involved or for those who are taking less, what do you feel is a comfortable level wherein you are able to take advantage of each individual class?
