compared to SATI’s & other factors. Also, would subpar/average scores<700 put students at a major disadvantage (if they have SAT scores in the middle 50% range at the school)?

I’ve heard that SATI’s are more important but I can’t help but wonder if lesser SATIIs can be the deciding factor for whether an unhooked candidate gets rejected

^I think the 5 will make up for but not qualify it. I got the same US SATII score b/c I took it a month later & had no intention to study(I assumed the AP exam in may was enough prep). Guess I was wrong…

^ Harvard is not a good example to test to see if SAT II’s are one of those “we’ll see.” You can have 3 800s and still get rejected while someone else with 3 650s will get accepted.

The only one deciding factor is a bunch of C’s or lower on your transcript. That being said, higher test scores are ALWAYS better than lower, particularly for unhooked candidates. I would guess, and it’s only a guess, that, with exception of Cornell and Yale (which accepts the ACT without subject tests), unhooked acceptees to the Ivies – have 750+ on subject tests.
