I have taken both a Literature and U.S. History subject test. I got a 700 on the Lit exam and plan to retake it because I know that it’s a score I can strengthen; however, I scored a 660 on the U.S. History exam and am unsure about whether or not I should retake it. I know that it’s not a spectacular score when it comes to Ivy admissions, but a week after I took this very same test, I scored a 5 on the APUSH exam.
Basically, I’m wondering if the admissions committee would consider this when they reviewed all my scores, or if the 660 would trump my APUSH success and remain a major turn-off.

The main reason behind my struggle with this decision is that if I were to take this test again, I have no idea what my performance would be like (even if I attempted to crack down and cram as much info back into my head as I could).
