HYPS, Columbia, Dartmouth

if I dont get into one of those… heading out to uchicago

Forget your SAT IIs. Submit the ACT instead. It’s much stronger. Yeah, a 2350 is impressive, but I have to say it’s kind of strange that you got a 770 on the Math II and a 690 on the Math I…that’s going to raise some eyebrows.

I think that’s just because the Math II has a better curve. He probably had an off day or something.

turn in both SAT/ACT.

absolutely send in both

I see no purpose in not sending in the SAT Reasoning score. 2350 is very high.

Also, why did you take Math I and II?
I think you have a decent chance. The only weak point would be your GPA which is low for the Ivies.

bump 10char

geez…that’s a low gpa for an ivy?..

Def. send in the SAT I, it’s better than your ACT really. I though that colleges usually only look at your top two SAT II’s, or the ones that you report for the requirements. Correct me if I’m wrong. Meh GPA, but everything else seems good for those schools.

Nevermind, realized that Princeton looks at three SAT IIs. But don’t worry about it too much

bump 10char

cmon ppl plz chance a guy

well its not like your 690 is terrible…i know someone who got into cornell with a 790 and a 660, so no, a 690 will not kill you imo, but the other parts of your app have to be strong too

You are fine. Too bad about the 690M1, can you retake or is it too late? But ABSOLUTELY send in your SAT. Its great.

bump bump bump

Am I wrong or can you not choose which SATs you’re going to send in? Just send in both. Honestly dude, I think the point of the tests is to show that you’re intelligent. They won’t be like whoops this kid sucks at physics. Big X. No! They basically just get you passed the “qualifying” round. They’re good. Go for it buddy.

bump plz a few more ppl

I really wouldn’t worry about a 690 as a third SAT II, I got into Columbia Engineering with a 690 and 650 SAT II scores.

please someone chance me school by school… reach/match/high reach etc.

jesus…bump

GPA, Standardized test scores are fine.

Comes down to your essay and recommendations.

You have a strong debate narrative going for you. Is that going to show up in your essays? What event do you do?

Ha, you say that like it’s a sure thing!
