how much will the 1st notification help me?

i plan on apply as early as possible because my resume isn’t so great.

IN-state

3.3 uw
3.46 or 3.5 w(not sure,i have to ask my counselor if a class i took,Japanese 3,really is regular or honors)

act now:24
projected ACT when i take it on September 15 :26-27

ec’s: 4/10(not much)

really good essays though

what do you guys think?will the early notification help a lot?

Early application will give you the best shot for admission. Generally, the most competitive applicants apply later. If you wait, the competition becomes more difficult.

I believe that if your initial application is early and you submit additional test scores (before Nov 1), Admissions will consider them and still take the best combination.

oh also being the idiot i am,i sent a very low SAT score a long time ago when i was naive(1020/1600) >.>

but if i get a 27 on my ACT, and send that, it shouldn’t really matter right?

Correct. They will take the highest scores.

Last I heard the most recent class had an ACT average of at least 26. A 27 would be workable…but no one’s seen the real data from Fall 2007 admissions yet.
