I was fully prepared to pay a lot and this dress was very reasonable. I bought another that I will wear at a shower next week. I had gift cards to nordstroms. So for the 2 dresses I paid $59 out of pocket! This belongs in the good deal of the day.

Yup. This is over my limits even for boots. I love expensive shoes - just not at the expensive prices. :slight_smile: Saks has been very kind to me with their 70% off sales. Unfortunately, these basics rarely go on sale, so I shop for look alikes.

I could easily buy a $600 pair of shoes. When visiting my D1 in Manhattan a few weeks ago, we walked by a LV shop and I thought I could go in there and buy some of the multiple thousand dollar things with mt debit card.

But psychology wise, I have not had the ability to do so for long enough to allow me to do so w/o feeling very uncomfortable.

I have no discomfort spending hundreds of dollars buying stuff on sale or at places like TJMax in a single shopping day. Haha

I buy Coach sale or outlet stuff. Just can’t fathom spending thousands for a handbag or shoes or what have you. Just can’t. WIll spend $ on a ski vacation or such but not on clothes. I did buy an expensive ski jacket, on sale at a local ski shop that was going out of business. Now I am having a bit of trouble with a part of the hood and have no recourse. Maybe I could contact the manufacturer of the jacket (Descente) but I’ve had the jacket for a year or so so am probably out of luck.

You should contact the manufacturer. I bet they will replace or repair it.

Problem with outlets like Coach, JCrew etc is it’s a completely different quality of merchandise.

May look into contacting Descente, but might be a hassle. Some of Coach outlet accessories seem to be reasonably well made, and have had luck with wallets, cardholders, jewelry boxes, etc. The bags are different.

Jym, you will have plenty of time to find a nice sandal. I’ll keep my eyes on the Kate spade store for those sandals, so pretty.
