Let’s say I got 5 A’s and 1 b/ all A’s every semester of high school except for first semester sophomore year where I got 4 b’s and 2 A’s. Would this have much of am impact if I just had one blow up semester and applied with around a 3.75/3.95 weighted?

For Barnard, it would not be a huge issue, especially if you can explain somewhere in your app or interview why the grades dropped (more challenging work, personal problems, whatever.) That is assuming you have very good SAT/ACTs to show your capability.

That is not that low, especially compared to a lot of the GPA’s that I have seen. If you have extra-curricular activitites to back you up…then it will not affect there decision for you that much. Good luck with your admissions!!!
