I think prospective SEAS students are encouraged to take a math and a science related subject test. Technically, you don’t need to take them, but you probably should.

same, i’m applying ED and haven’t done my SAT IIs, only SAT I. I think though instead of doing them, i’m just going to do my ACT in october because that counts as both doesn’t it? applying to wharton

lifehouse, that’s exactly what I’m wondering…if ACT + Good AP Scores = SAT II’s in the admissions officers eyes? I did notice that everyone on cc who has been accepted (via the decision threads) has two or more SAT II’s. At this point though, they kind of seem like unnecessary obstacles in areas where (through the AP tests and ACT) I have already pretty much proven myself.

True, and on the opposite side of things, is there anyone who was rejected who didn’t take SAT IIs? From what I remember looking at the stats, most people had just taken them, but it wasn’t as if there was any direct relationship between whether or not they took the SAT IIs and whether they were accepted/rejected.

^ true. standardized tests are probably not as important for admissions as people think.
Just make sure you’ve taken the ACT if you’re not taking the subject tests.
