My son was withdrawn from high school at the beginning of sophomore year. He is very quiet and socially awkward and thought of as a weird kid. He made a what he thought was funny a comment to another student. The other students parent a girl overheard it and took it as a threat. The parent took it to administration that they felt my son was a threat and insisted my son be removed from the school. The school was ok with just a 2 day suspension. The girls parents insisted he be removed or they would leave the school. This was a private school and eventually everyone felt it was better if my son went to another school. So he was not expelled but withdrawn. He has gone to another private school and has excelled academically with no negative conduct issues. He participates in clubs and activities but is still quiet and socially awkward. Now that he is applying to colleges how negative is answering yes to disciplinary action on the conduct question?
