How negatively will 1 missing prereq affect me?

For UCLA and UCD? I’m a Poli Sci major and will have everything done except for the Econ/Philosophy bracket. If I have a GPA of 3.5 or greater, how negatively will the missing prereq affect me?

Can I just take Philosophy 5 at Davis after I transfer or will they disregard me for missing a prereq? Thanks.

This is the articulation agreement between Davis and Chabot College for the Poli Sci major.

bump up we go

I’m not sure about this year, but last year I TAGed into Davis with two pre-reqs missing.

“Which colleges, schools or majors require completion of specific major-preparation coursework?”

Davis - “Colleges of Biological Sciences and Engineering: all majors; College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences: Biotechnology, Viticulture and Enology; College of Letters and Science: Communication, Psychology and International Relations. See admissions.ucdavis.edu/admissions/trselectmajors.”

UCLA - “All majors. See UCLA’s Transfer
Admission Guide at www.admissions .ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/tradms.htm.”

According to the matrix UCLA would be no acceptance, and Davis would be okay.

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/files/ETS11_TransferMatrix.pdf</a></p>

@Hayward - are you doing TAP with UCLA? With TAP and a ~3.5 GPA, I would say that missing one pre-req for a non impacted major is no big deal. Without TAP, I’d still say it’s no big deal if your GPA is high enough (above 3.6, at least).

For Davis, you can just TAG in. They are not likely to care about a single course if your GPA is over 3.5.

From a different thread, I’ve been corrected. Although I admit I’m still a bit confused. Disregard my post just in case. Good luck!

I can’t TAG to Davis because I’m not a full time student, I’ve completed 40 transferable units and this semester I’m only taking 10. I’m TAGing to UCSB but I want to go to UCD.

MeStudyStuff, can you link me to the thread please?

& MeStudyStuff is talking about me finding for this other poster information where in the UC Matrix, Berkeley says basically course work needs to be completed, but refer to ASSIST for which amount of courses, and in the posters case, “as many as possible” needed to be completed because she was a Sociology major, whereas a Engineering or HAAS major, needs ALL pre-reqs completed before transfer.

Does the full time student mean I have to be full time at one CCC or can I take 10 units at one CCC and 5 at another?
