How "numbers based" is B-School?

I can’t stand math. How much of business school is math based and how much is based off of other skills? Also, it seems like many of you are Econ majors, how math based is Econ? Is there any math in Pol Sci?

(Sorry if I sound like a stupid senior in High School. Its just that I am.)

search this topic…its been discussed many times.

Business school is not as much about complex math (calculus, for example), as it is about understanding the interplay and importance of the relationships between mathematical and economic concepts (the effect of rising interest rates on bond prices, for example). If you have difficulty thinking abstractly about math and economics-based concepts, you may have some trouble in business school.

Depends on the program. Chicago is quite quantitative, Harvard isn’t. In general, the more case-based the MBA, the less quantitative it is likely to be. But by and large, you will never need more than basic Calculus and Statistics, so it’s not like you will require a great deal of math.
