<p>Since the ID card is used for (i) meal plan, (ii) Dining Dollars and (iii) NYU Cash, how does it know which one you are using at any given time? I’m sure I’ll figure it out, but it has me curious since, for example, you can use any of the three in a dining hall.</p>
<p>it’s all on the barcode. You tell the cashiers what you’re using, they push a button, and voila! magic. Normally if you don’t say anything they just assume meal.</p>
<p>Also, where/when do we get it?</p>
<p>if you live near/in the city you can go to the building on 12th street and they’ll print one out for you. otherwise i’d imagine you have to do it during that first week of orientation activities.</p>
