<p>For some reason, the time I check CC has gone from 0 times, one month ago, to every 30 minutes, now… and it is getting worse. I seriously cannot wait until these 17 days pass by, and so I can have a definate answer. Deferal is basically the same as rejection, right?</p>
<p>yeah definitely addicted here… i check cc every half hour or so…sometimes i even check it before going to school in the morning…i need help!!!</p>

<p>pssst! i’m a bit fuzzy on what exactly “deferral” means. help, please?</p>
<p>deferral means that when you get that e-mail/letter on dec. 10 or 15 or somewhere in between, it won’t say that you’ve been accepted or rejected…it will say something about how you’re a good applicant, but so are so many other ppl who apply and hence, we won’t be able to say whether you’re admitted or rejected until april when we send out the letters for RD</p>

<p>I’m down to just 2 or 3 times a day now, but it’s really been hard. There should be a 12-step program for compulsive CC checkers. The info and discussions found here are so interesting and compelling, they are addictive!</p>
<p>This is my usual way of checking:
After school (which I am doing right now) - there’s usually 16 new pages of posts by now</p>
<p>After Homework at night (sometimes during) - there’s usually 20 new pages of posts! 7 hours later</p>
<p>2-3 times a day for me, but as soon as Dec. 15 hits, I think I’ll be taking a leave of absence.</p>
