I really wouldn’t suggest living in the dorms unless you could get into Wada, which is mostly filled with transfer students. Most of the students in Wada will be around 20, but there are always a few older students as well, myself included (I’m 25).

I’m sort of up in the air whether it was a really a good idea to spend the year in the dorms. On the plus side, I’ve made friends and gotten a taste of the “dorm experience.” However, there is definitely a difference in maturity level that is not really quantifiable. You’ll probably find yourself having a difficult time relating to your fellow students unless you are good at adapting to different social situations. However, you might have an easier time depending on how good you are at getting along with people.
