My school was built in 1958, so about 54 years.

1954 at its current location, I think.

My HS was built in 1894. So 118 years.

Some schools here are older than our country, too, UKgirl.

I think it was built about 80-something years ago.

Like 9years old…lol

My school was founded in 1950, so 62 years, if I’m doing my math correctly.

20th anniversary this year!

Not entirely sure when my school was founded. I think in the 70’s when the 6-12 school was closed down.

The building itself is almost 4 years old. I’ve been so lucky, when I started kindergarten, my school was brand-new. 3rd grade, same thing. 6th grade, it was 2-3 years old. And my freshman year, a school that was less than 6 months old…

Yeeeaaah, um, my school is younger than my mom, not saying shes ild or anything, but i dont know many 34 year old schools honestly. Lol

dtothe2nd: my mom is apparently ten years older than your mom, so…

@dtothe2nd my mom is more than 15 years older than your mom

My primary (elementary) school had teachers who had taught some of my friends parents and my current school’s head of maths has been teaching there for 40 years

My old district had a lot of school switching in its history…my elementary school was built in 1952 and I’m pretty sure it’s always been a K-6 elementary (unless in 1952, KG wasn’t popular yet…and maybe it didn’t always have 6th grade)
My middle school (7-8 grade) was built in 1962 as a junior high school for half of the district’s 9-10 students (the other half stayed at the high school). Those students stayed there until graduation, and it became a regular 9-12 high school. In 1987, It became a 8-9 school and in the 90’s it became a 7-8 school.

My current HS was built in 1959 as a 7-9 junior high school. In 1969 it became a 9-12 High School.

@Niquii77 and @Hannahbanana69 so y’all moms are 52 years old? I was just implying this was the youngest school ive ever seen since all the others i’ve been to are old as dirt. Lol

We’re in our sixth year as a 7-12 school, I’ve been there for four of them. The building though was finished in 1972, one of the oldest in the district. (Yes, there were three or four other schools there before us)

So the 50th anniversary celebrations were today, and were very lame. We did bury a time capsule for the 100th anniversary though :)

46 years. 1967

The school was founded in 1912, but we’ve only been in our current building since 1950 or so.

This thread is almost a year old…

Anyway, my school has apparently been around since 1830 (so 183 years), although, it has only been at its current site since 1958 (55 years).
