<p>There are some preppy people about but most people aren’t. This coming from someone who’s very, very far from being preppy, haha.</p>
<p>I’d say MIT isn’t much different. People would probably stereotype it to be less preppy (the whole nerd stereotype and all), but I highly doubt there’s much difference (esp. given the socioeconomic similarities between MIT and Stanford).</p>
<p>I believe Stanford is not as preppy as MIT (though, I’ve only visited Stanford, but I have visited Princeton). Because of Stanford’s location in the west coast, most students don’t wear preppy clothes, but some do.</p>
