How prestigious is the Georgetown Undergraduate Business School for Finance?

I am a high school senior who is currently contemplating what schools to apply to. One of my main choices is the Georgetown Undergraduate Business School.

So how prestigious is it and do big corporations hire a lot of investment bankers and financial analysts from the Georgetown Undergraduate Business school?

Is it also so prestigious that girls want to have…you know what…with you? (Just kidding…though it would be cool if it is that prestigious.)

I think you’re in.

Though I only really stick to Businessweek as my source of information (I really don’t know where else to get it and not be ********ted), it’s supposed to be pretty high up there. Though the school is out of range for me, I am actually going to give it a shot for Fall 2008. It’ll be transfer, but what the hell.

It’s in Washington D.C. and its supposedly really close to the White House…so I guess you can expect some big action from around there. Aside from that, NYC is just a couple of hours worth of a drive from there.

So yeah, I think it’s pretty much up there. Businessweek says the finance program is their best.

It’s a great school. I’d put it in top 10, but not top 5.

Definitely a top ten school and many local DC IB’s and finance houses with lots of political connections recruit there. Think more of Carlyle(PE firm) type IB’s recruiting there and less of Goldman. If you are good at making connects the DC IB’s which are generally boutiques are quite interesting and are just ballin places to work.

GS recruits 8th at Georgetown and LB 2nd, stats given by GS and LB recruiters during a presentation 2 days ago… that’s not too shabby…

Georgetown may not be top 5, but I would definitely say it’s considered prestigious.
