How Proust Can Change Your Life

<p>Hey I was wondering if every year that has gone to Brown has had to read this book. If not, could anyone give me a list of all the other books incoming freshmen had to read?</p>

<p>It’s pretty rad that they’re starting everyone off on the same footing, and then letting everyone go off into whatever classes they’ve signed up for.</p>

<p>With that being said, what’s everyone’s impressions of the book?</p>

<p>Oh, and how long were the letters you wrote to your advisor?</p>

<p>Orientation has gone a few changes for this year, so this is the first year with required reading. My year (two years ago) we had a book recommended to us (Philadelphia Fire).</p>

<p>I thought this book was not-so-good. If I want philosophy, I’d either watch Lord of the Rings and pretend it’s meaningful or sit down to Nietzsche. Mr. Hypochondriac Proust has never interested me much.</p>
