How realistic is this AP schedule?

I’m a senior planning on taking a fairly heavy course load of APs.

-AP US Government
-AP Comparative Politics
-AP Microeconomics
-AP Macroeconomics
-AP Human Geography
-AP Psych
-AP Lit

I’m taking AP Psych and AP Lit in class. For the others, I will self-study, but I’ve been given two school blocks to cover the additional self-led curriculum.

Is this a realistic AP schedule? Would adding another block to take AP Art History as an independent study be doable or too much?

You are taking ALOT of AP’s…

But pretty much all of them are VERY LIGHT.

umm 1 thing: i would drop Human Geo… i really doubt your college will take it for anything.

Lit is a good class, but much more work intensive than is actually needed for the exam.

I feel you’ll grow more as a person, if you can take US gov in the class instead. AP Psych as well is very disproportionate work/work needed to 5 on AP Exam.

as for Art History, that’s a heavy AP. If you really want to do that. highly recommended as a class.

Thanks for the reply!

I was surprised to see my college actually does take Human Geo. I really wish my school offered AP U.S. Government, but all we have is freshman civics.

As for Art History, would I be able to account for it with a one block independent study guided by a teacher, or is it too intensive to take separate from a class?

You are taking a lot of AP’s, but they are all regarded as the easy AP exams, both in terms of subject material and ease of self-studying. I’d say that applies to all of them except for the AP Lit–READ AND PRACTICE FOR THAT ONE.

I know nothing about AP Art History.
