How recommended is it that I speak during media demonstrations for Maker portfolios?

I have recorded the media for my MIT Maker Portfolio, and all two minutes of video are silent demonstrations of mathematical simulations I’ve developed. However, looking at some of the Maker Portfolios that show up in my YouTube recommended feed, I notice that all of them include the person actually yapping about who they are and stuff, which is information I’ve reserved for the additional questions. Is it problematic that my video demonstrations don’t have any voiceover? And will that also be a problem for the Caltech STEM Portfolio?

Without any narration it may be hard for the viewer to even know what they are looking at. I think introducing yourself and describing what the person is seeing, saying you are showing some simulations you developed and then something like this model does x, this next model does y, would be very helpful.
