<p>…to write an essay about life in general? It’s such a broad topic, would it even be possible to write a halfway decent essay in ~500 words?</p>

<p>If I understood correctly (and correct me if I seem to be wrong)…</p>

<p>The way I see it, any essay topic you choose should say something about your view on life in general. Where would you even begin? Philosophers, as well as yourself, have spent lifetimes trying to explain life.</p>

<p>Essays are better written to “show,” not “tell.” It’s better to focus on one specific event/quote/etc and use that to deliver what you think about life in general. A broad essay can not only be hard to follow, but sometimes feel more superficial.</p>
