Yeah man you’re stats are trash, just go to a community college

I kid of course. The world is your oyster

Jesus Christ, your**** I think autocorrect did it? If not I blame summer

At what point of writing this did you genuinely feel “screwed”? We’re here to give advice not feed your ego.

Plus you didn’t name any schools for us to even consider you for.

I meant for ivie and G-town.

You’ll be a very competitive applicant at all these schools lmao what’s up with the “screwed” part in no way are you screwed at all

I almost don’t want to reply to this because of the egotistical way it is presented, but If all this is true, you have a decent percentage chance of getting into the schools you want. However, colleges can easily see you did most of this just for your resume.

LOL Okay, you can think what you want, but I did nothing here for my resume

Mhm you deny that you did this to feed your ego. That’s something an egotistic person would do.
But moving on, I think you could get into at least one HYPS and G-Town. That’s pretty good considering those are reaches for everyone. You could (not would) get into Cornell or Dartmouth. A great essay topic would be about the company you started and how you got it off the ground to a point where Khan Academy looked into you. I’m curious to know what your company name is. Mind sharing with us (because others are possibly interested as well)?

Don’t share your company name if it’s going to compromise your anonymity. Sorry for all the spiteful answers you’re getting.

I could care less who the person behind the company is. I’m curious about what was different in the company that Khan Academy couldn’t offer. That intrigues me since Khan Academy is a well known brand.

You ask for opinions then are rude…

Who’s rude?? I’d say it’s the people trying to feel better about themselves by going “Oh man too bad your stats are so good you must have a massive ego and be an insufferable human being lulz!”

Either chance or go be unhelpful somewhere else…

I wasn’t saying the fact of what her stats were was egotistical. I am actually incredibly impressed by them. What I was commenting on was making her title “How screwed am I” while knowing that her stats are amazing. Remember, a lot of colleges consider a holistic approach, and no matter how qualified a person is, if they come across as a ego filled brat (not saying the publisher of this thread is by any means) then they won’t admit them.

The Ivies are not guaranteed for anyone, you can get into a top choice school but I urge everyone not to expect anything for the Ivies. I know several people who scored perfectly on the SAT and had a perfect GPA and took the most rigorous schedule offered at school and now they attend their backup school. The key to the Ivies (while your great STATS are helping) will always be your ESSAYS!! avoid common essay themes, have a lot of people read your essays, make sure you sound like yourself, DO NOT get someone to write your essay for you, make sure that you are showing off something that doesn’t come off in your resume (for instance I would actually avoid talking about your company so strenuously because they already saw it in your resume and you can explain that with one blurb in your resume). Hope this is helpful
