<p>I have just gotten one of my regents invalidated, how badly will it reflect me for college</p>
<p>If it was for actual cheating, pretty bad - everything you’ve accomplished will be suspect. </p>
<p>If it was because someone else’s cellphone went off in the room, then I wouldn’t worry about it. </p>
<p>i was suspected for cheating,(i didn’t) since i went to the bathroom while my cellphone was in my pocket. </p>

<p>Get your parents involved to make sure it’s written up in a way that makes you look absent minded rather than dishonest. It may be ok, but unfortunately what’s done is done and you have to move forward. </p>
<p>@AHChina20 Future reference, you don’t have to listen to them when they ask that. If they force you, you can press legal action I’m sure.</p>
<p>I suspect the alternative to emptying your pocket would be getting thrown out of the test. Don’t take legal advice from kids!
