Hey guys,

I took the SAT twice already (one in november and one in january). The first time I got a 2140 (710 math, 740 writing, 690 reading) and the second time after serious preparation I only got a 2230 (750 math, 750 writing, 730 reading). I say “only” because my goal score was a 2300+ and I thought I got a 2320 on this January SAT because I was looking over the collegeboard forums to see if my answers matched up with those of everyone else. The CR was insane because of the curve and I thought I got a 12 on my essay (I got a 10).

Considering my goal of scoring 2300+, I was extremely disappointed by my score because I prepared intensely and thought I did well after I finished taking the January SAT. Obviously, there is something missing from me getting a 2300+, and I am not quite sure what that is. Is there anything that you guys suggest me doing to help me prepare for the SAT retake?
