How should you tackle the reading comp section?

I did ok on the SAT CR 720

however, on the ACT i can’t even finish the section on time

how should i approach the questions?

One of the easiest things to do is to look at the questions, and 1st tackle the ones that say “on line 65” or whatever. Those are usually the most direct and usually the easiest to answer. For the other questions, carefully look at the area the questions are referring to, and elimate the most implausible answer. (hint: if it isn’t even remotely talked about, its wrong) and then, check the passage for whatever key words in the answers are mentioned. Even if more than one answer is mentioned, chances are by then it’ll be pretty easier to figure out. Hope this helps : )

Ya i ususally read the passage as fast as i can and underline key things they talk about, but even with that method it takes me a good 8-9 minutes for each section of prose humanities, social science, and natural science… any ways i can speed up, in terms of something else i should be doing. I get like 8-10 rite consistently on each passage

Humanities and Prose fiction are the killing part, and you have less than a minute to figure out what the author is meaning. I hate the reading part. =(

I just did a practice doing the sections in order. I did great on sections 1 and 3 (10/10 and 8/10) however on the other two I struggled greatly. Taking to much time on the 2nd and not leaving enough time for the fourth. I think I’m going to do it 1st-3rd-2nd-4th. So, I can get the first two done in 8 or less minutes then spend a minute or two more on section 2 then have 7-8 mins for section 4.
