I took the SAT for the first time in December of 2007 and scored a 1520/2400. M: 440 CR: 580 W: 500 Essay: 8/12

I took it again for the second time in January (didn’t study at all) and scored a 1710/2400. M:490 CR:590 W:630 Essay:10/12

Since these scores are the furthest thing from being gawked over, I’ll provide some background information.

This year will be my first complete year of school since the seventh grade. When I was 12 I was diagnosed with a mental disorder which skewed my perception and rendered me unstable to attend high school regularly. I attended one semester of Freshman year and one semester of Sophomore and completely skipped Junior year. I am currently enrolled in an alternative learning center where I self-study and self-teach myself lessons through online academic programs. When taking both tests, I only had knowledge of one semester of math (algebra I), which explains why the scores are so poor.

Will colleges view this as a vast improvement and will it be to my advantage, or are my scores still too low too see any sufficient improvement in?

Thanks!
