<p>For those of you who were already accepted, how long did it take you to receive your decision after your Gibson account switched to “Your decision is pending review. We will try to get you a decision in just a few weeks, but you will receive a final decision by April 1.”??? Mine just switched over. Thanks!</p>
<p>Got denied today, I wasn’t really planning to go there but it’s still disappointing. I got deferred for early action but I thought it was because I didn’t write the optional essay.</p>
<p>It probably was because you didn’t write the optional essay, at least in part if not entirely. Did you do anything after getting deferred to show interest?</p>
<p>The only thing I did was send a brief e-mail indicating my interest and bringing them up to date on recent school stuff.</p>

<p>Simba - that’s pretty much what I figured. Don’t be too disappointed or take it personally. Tulane just had you (correctly) pegged as someone that had other schools as more desirable. Hope it all works out for you.</p>

<p>Now that I can actually form functioning sentences, I’d like to thank everyone for all the support that has been given. I have never wanted anything the way I’ve wanted to go to Tulane. The process is very trying and it takes a lot out of you, but the end result is so sweet. Thank you for all the questions answered, advice given, support, and so much more. My parents and I are ecstatic. I can’t believe I actually got in after 8 months of waiting. </p>
<p>courtzerangue: My status went from complete (Aug.-Nov.), to pending (Dec.), to deferred (Dec.-Mar.), and then finally accepted (March 19). I had blank messages here and there and all over the place. But I did not receive a pending message before my acceptance. Stay strong and don’t lose hope! Perseverance is key in this process.
