I’m pending and still waiting…such a long wait!

Mine keeps going from complete and waiting to blank!
this wait is agonizing!! And I keep checking frantically! Anyone else have the same problem??

Mine has been going back and forth from pending review. I am still waiting. :/

My son’s as well. I’m thinking it can’t be good news.

Same here. Everytime it goes blank I hope for the best but then a couple hours later it goes back to “pending”. Sigh… I have a terrible feeling about this :(

I can’t believe it! My son just got the Distinguished Scholars Award for 25K/yr and Honors!!! WOW! We have some serious number crunching and thinking to do! Yeah! (So there is hope out there for those still waiting-they are still accepting and still giving out merit if qualified!!!) Crossing our fingers for you!

There are times I really love being right!! So happy for you and your son, Bandmom.

It may be irrational since I don’t know you or your son, but I think he will really love it at Tulane.

Yay Bandmom!

And I should add - lest I sound like I’m whining (of course I am) but my son’s been accepted to several wonderful schools and received a nearly full ride at one of them. So it’s good - but I love Tulane!

Bandmom - it was worth the wait - wow - way to go!!!

Bandmom-WOW!!! What fabulous news!

BTMell-Thank you! I am thinking positively that you will get good news today!!! I know that last week some of the counselors were out of town and ours told us that she would be working on them when she got back. So hang on, there is still time!!!
Thanks Bloomy!

Thanks, BAndmom - I’m thrilled for you and your son! We have til April 1, right?

thanks for giving me some hope but I need to stop compulsively checking Gibson …

I like this asymptotic acceptance trend. Just hoping that my D would get the outlier acceptance on April 1st.

Wow - I am so very happy for you! I haven’t been on the Tulane board recently so I wasn’t aware of your acceptance until today. Great news! A sincere congratulations to you!

Hi everyone! I have been following your thread for awhile and now I am getting down to the nail biting part of waiting! I applied early action and was deferred to regular decision and now that there’s only 5 days left and most admissions decisions have already been mailed out I’m afraid I am going to get denied! My GPA is very low only a 3.3 but that’s due to a long medical history that is explained by my college guidance officer in my letter of rec. My ACT is a 33 and I’m extremely involved in extra curriculars and community service (almost 1000 hours, a goal I set for myself freshman year). I am involved in soccer both in and out of school, waterpolo, jewelry fabrication, and I work as a teachers assistant at my school, as a tutor, babysitter, and at a daycare. I am the president of Peer Counseling at my school and I have been involved in clubs including photography, diversity, and Jewish forum. I visited campus and have attended all of the information sessions and I have really gotten to know my admissions rep. Does anyone have a somewhat similar ANYTHING to me and not heard back yet? Thank you everyone for actually keeping up with this post it has been keeping me somewhat sane the last few months!! :P

Gposess, I’m in a very similar situation as you with a low GPA (3.3, medical reasons as well) and a 33 ACT! Anyway, did you write the optional Why Tulane essay? A good interest essay is probably a big deciding factor for many of us with similar stats. Btw I was accepted back in December!

It’s getting close to April 1st! When when when will they post these last decisions? Can we possibly expect decisions from Tulane on Ivy Day???

Thanks wstlfb8! Even though that doesn’t mean I’m in you definitely relieved some of my jitters! I did do the why Tulane essay and I believe it definitely showed interest. I have read that deferred is still good because it shows you have the credentials they are looking for but they still want to compare you to some of the regular applicant pool so hopefully my story and I stand out! I absolutely LOVE Tulane and it would be a dream come true to get in!

Great news, Bandmom!! Congrats!
