<p>Son was ACCEPTED today!!! HEY!!! So excited!!! He was at school when he found out! I bet he won’t be able to concentrate the rest of the day! </p>
<p>We had almost given up hope as they said that they were pretty much through with acceptances. This was a long and stressful process from EA for sure! He was starting to dread the thanks but no thanks letter, or the wait list. So to the rest of you still out there waiting, there is still HOPE! Good luck to you all!!! :)</p>

As a former trumpet player, participant in several jazz, classical and pop-rock groups at Tulane and admirer of all efforts involving bands of any kind, I hope he stays involved in his music at Tulane, should he choose to attend.</p>

Fallenchemist-This is really a GOOD dilemma to have! Never thought he would be sitting here with this kind of a decision to make! We are so thankful for it! This is a very tough call now!!! It will probably boil down to finances though. Funny, we were waiting for so long that we had to start seriously considering (and pursuing the alternatives) as the feedback was looking like it was going to probably be a denial. I told him that he will have to come to a resolve and start picturing himself elsewhere. This certainly puts a kink in it!
That being said, is there possibility for merit monies now? Has it all been issued already?

<p>If he has the stats, there is definitely a chance for merit money. You should know by the end of the week when you get the paper letter, although check the financial aid tab on Gibson also. Although if you don’t see it there it might not mean he didn’t get any, it lags the admission posting, I think. The snail mail letter is the definitive answer on merit money.</p>
