How spoiled are you?

car that only cost 15k huh? LOL

man if i get a car that costs over 1000 ill be shocked

lol yeah guitarman…

i have to wear uniforms for school and sometimes i just have to rewear clothes until the others get washed.

ive never experienced “rich” people like some of these guys though…my whole school is pretty poor

depends on your definition of spoiled…:)

yeah there’s no people like that where I’m from either. Mostly poor people around here…but I guess that’s how it is in small towns for the most part.

How many people go to your school Guitarman? I’ve got 600 k-12 here.

My family is relatively well off and my parents pay for most of my expenses. My parents buys me the things I want most of the time but I don’t demand anything at all and I’m grateful for everything they give me.

I would give myself a 9
we just moved here 2 years ago form E.Europe and when people hear my accent they automatically think that I am a poor girl who has no money and she will have a better life… hahaha they are sooo wrong
We travel a lot, my parents give me anything I want, I have almost no chores, I got diamond necklace and earrings for my sweet 16, we have 3 houses etc. I don’t, though, tell anyone about that because I feel like I don’t deserve it))
PS - I do, however, tell people that a lot of people from my city are rich… it just bothers me how americans think that people can only have a good life in America!!!

fromthesouth:

We’ve got 900 kids in my high school, but that’s a combination of people from my town and 5 surrounding small towns. (They combined the small towns to make one decent size high school.)

It sucks because some people have to drive like 15-20 miles or more to school everyday.

I have no idea how much my parents make, but I think it’s in the mid to maybe upper six figures before taxes. My mom’s a VP at a very large software company, and my dad’s an (outside, for those who know/care) sales rep at another software company.

Um, I’m pretty spoiled, though, I think. Maybe a 7?

*I don’t have any “set” chores, but I clean out my rabbit’s cage, feed him, clean up my room, run errands for my mom, help cook (my mom’s a total foodie), bake, carry things, etc. Basically if they ask me to do something I do it, which I think is pretty standard, yeah?
*I had two “jobs”, but I was laid off from one in November. I still work 2 hours a week at a day care, and I used to work six as a receptionist at a dance studio. Not very much, but the day care pays 20$ an hour, and I’ve been doing it since ninth grade.
*I get very spoiled for Christmas/Birthdays. See the Christmas presents thread for details.
*My cell phone is paid for (family plan), but I don’t use it much, so. My car and insurance are paid for too.
*My car is a 96 Honda Accord, willed to me by my aunt. It recently got hit by a bus, but it’s being fixed. It has a new-ish HD radio and a gps, which were Christmas presents from last year and this year.
*My parents pay for private school for me (20000/year)
*My mom is always saying I don’t have any nice clothes, so she shops for me sometimes. I never ask for clothes or clothes money, though, except for my birthday/Christmas.
*They give me lunch money but no allowance, and I pay for itunes and going out with friends. They give me gas money.
*They pay for me to dance, which adds up to about 4gs a year.

Um yeah. I’m lucky. I know it. It’s because my parents are really generous. They let my brothers’ friends (who are in their early-mid twenties)live with us when they’re going through tough times, or when they want to, and Sunday dinners at my house usually have 10+ people.
EDIT: this makes me sound like a brat, sorry. I’m really nice, once you get to know me.

I’m not spoiled in like a material sense. Sure my parents buy me iPod Touches and Macbooks (only one of each…), but they would never buy anything without good reason… like a car for example. But I’m spoiled because I never do chores, I don’t cook, I make my parents bring me water when I’m in bed, I talk back to my parents and they submit to me. Yeah, I’m spoiled. I wish my parents would love me less so I can actually do things that would help me in life… Like my mom has explicitly said, “I am living for you, to see you live a good life.” But that’s what I get for being an only child…

Would give a 100 actually.
My parents aren’t really rich BUT I am incredibly spoilt. But then, I’m not materialistic in the least, I’ve never cared about clothes, technology or anything else.
Although, we do eat out a lot, so most of the money goes towards food.
I’ll tell you why I think I am SO spoilt-

I do whatever I want-
2.I NEVER listen to my parents- back-answer/ talk back to them most of the time

I’ve developed a serious case of senioritis and never to any homework/study–
4.I get really angry if I don’t get what I want–

I’m super mean to my parents if they don’t let me go out to eat with my friends or if they don’t let me be on the computer or t.v.

I’m very rarely nice/polite to my parents even though they’ve basically sacrificed their lives for my education and my apparently oh-so bright future.
I don’t know what to say for myself.
After all this, I can still say that I am a really nice person and I will help you out through anything- just as long as you’re not one of my parents. Ha ha.

Wow I would get a swift smack in the face if I talked back to my parents lol…either that or get kicked out in a second.

Basically if I say anything back that isn’t warranted (I.E. I tell my mom to quit being stupid or something like that)…I end up roofing the house or something for a week. Lol.

So yeah Hirokee…sorry but you sound like a huge dou.che.

I couldn’t imagine being that way to my parents…you do realize what parents go through to make a better life for their kids?

Yes. I do sound like a ******.
My parents are just very different from other parents. There are a lot of personal issues and family problems. I guess I take it out on my parents- I can’t wait for college so that I can leave them to be all happy and peaceful.

I’m probably a 7/10.

Even though my parents make about 130k, I still remember when together they only made 50k so from now on I don’t ask for much, just what i need. My parents want to buy me things now since they can afford to, but I’m like nahhhh, just help me out with college loans.

I still pay for most of my stuff like games, clothes etc. Only thing i wish they give me is my moms old civic honda haha…

5/10.According to my parents I ask for too much…but really, I don’t get half of the things that I ask for. Plus, I do all the chores.

let me guess hirokee.
asian parents?

I don’t know. I think I’m a pretty interesting case.

My parents make 200k+ (combined); neither came from money, my father was poor growing up.

They give me money when asked (which I rarely do), pay for gas, pay insurance, pay my cell bill (except for things such as games and texts).

But I hold a 10 hour job working 5-7 days a week during the summer, drive one of their cars because my mother commutes to and from work via train, I have many chores, I get one pair of sneakers every 2-3 years, I rarely buy clothes, I’m paying part of my college tuition, etc, etc, etc.

I find that most of my friends who have less money are more spoiled than I am. My dad refuses to spoil my brother and me because of where he came from. I have friends who’s parents make half of what mine make always asking their parents for money, always buying clothes, and always getting things handed to them.

But just because a person gets more than you do doesn’t make them spoiled. Ya dig?

Oh god please don’t say “ya dig”.

i guess i’m pretty spoiled…my parents don’t make a lot of money, but they definetly give me a lot. i go shopping a lot… i guess i’m a little materialistic. i’ve never have worked before and i turned 16 a few months ago…i will help out around the house, if they ask me to. my parents and i have a pretty good relationship though. but they do pay for my cellphone… i have my dad’s old car, even though i don’t have my license yet, just my permit… and i don’t pay insurance or anything… but i am very thankful because i know my parents give me alot especially considering they don’t make a lot.
