How standardized is the SAT really?

I’m a caribbean student and recently did the SAT in October and got a 2080. I had friends that did it in the same month that got significantly lower scores. After the December SAT, most of those same friends were shocked at how easy the test was and were proclaiming sure 2200’s. If the test was significantly easier, will the scale really be a lot lower?

The anecdotes and claims from your friends have nothing to do with the test scoring process. The College Board, with great skill, normalizes the scores so that it does not matter where or when you take the test. Despite many claims to the contrary, the statisticians that work for the College Board don’t get this wrong.
