How strict are "Alright" College's Admission process.

So pretty much im not going to an ivy league or any amazing college. My college’s sat scores range from about 1650-1850 give or take. How strict are these colleges? Lets say my sat score is within their range, my math is a good bit higher than their range ( the only sat section im alright at), and i have good reccomendation letters / attend a pre college summer course.

Here’s the delima, don’t ask why but i have two very low regents grades: in the 70s. An ivy league college would defintly be picky on that, but would a school with my range care so much for something like that? And when i say my math is above their range, the schools math range is about 540-630 and my math score as long as i didnt completely bomb this recent may SAT about a 650-700.

NY State Regents? I’m not sure that schools would pick on that, especially schools outside NY state. Are your class grades and SAT subject scores up to par?

Regents don’t really matter. I scored ~70 on one of mine and got admitted to top 20 schools.
