How Strong is the Communications Program?

<p>The comm program is great. The professors are great and most of them are leaders in their fields of research. Go to the ucsb comm webpage and under news and links it talks about all of the awards professors and department are receiving, which are alot. People often label communication as an easy major, but here it is definitely treated as a social science and the emphasis on research is very prevalent, which makes it much harder. You have to do your own research project and paper and have a 3.0 in your pre-comm classes just to get into the major.</p>
