How they see your GPA

I know most colleges group both GPA and rigor of secondary school record in the “most important” section of the admissions process. I just want to know what they consider a “rigorous” schedule.

I’ve taken all sorts of APs, including two years of AP calculus (BC and multivariable), AP Physics C, 2 years of AP French, and a couple years of AP English and history classes. Because of some frustrating finals recently, all that only translated into about a 3.7/3.8 unweighted GPA (4.1 weighted)…

Do you think this would be looked at as a rigorous schedule and lenience would be given for the not so great unweighted gpa

yes, how would that not be a rigorous schedule?

and what do you mean “only” translated? that GPA means you are getting A’s in most of your AP classes, right?

Yea you’re fine for even the top schools. However, I think the 3.7 may fall slightly on the lower end. Most top schools have an average around 3.9 I think, but remember that grades are 1 part of your application.
