how to approach my local university to ask to do courses there next summer?

<p>hmm well i was interested in doing some introductory math courses at my local university next summer. however, they classes look like if they are geared towards people actually IN the university and it doesnt seem to allow outside people ( much less a nerdy high school kid) to do the classes. </p>

<p>If there isn’t an application for it, then that particular schools probably doesn’t offer it. Check the website of the school.</p>

<p>Never hurts to try. Go for something like this:</p>

<p>“Hello. I’m a local high school student and I was wondering if I could take some university courses next summer.”</p>

<p>My guess is that there won’t be any need to hold the phone away from your ear. Do you really think they’ll call you a dim-witted noodlebrain?</p>

<p>The difficulty depends on what level of classes you’ll be taking. If you haven’t had at least pre-calculus, it obviously won’t be worth your time.</p>
