How to ask colleges about accommodations for social anxiety/inattentive ADHD?

Hello! We are starting the college visit process for D20. She has been diagnosed recently (within last year or so - what a journey to figure it out!!!) with social anxiety and mild inattentive ADHD. She has come a long way as is doing well, but always learning what to do. One major accommodations she/we would like to see her have is a single dorm room so she has a quiet place as needed. Also, she has trouble organizing/getting all the directions, so I guess another would be the ability to have written instructions or something.

For each college, do I just email the general admissions email, or is there a “tab” where I can contact someone to discuss these options privately? We do not want to bring it out at a tour, and I know general admissions are usually students answering regular questions.

I have four kids - the first three are above average in academics, independent, and do not have these things. D20 is the last and I feel like I’m starting all over as a parent - such a different journey, and I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing! I just want D20 to be successful and happy.

Start with Disabilities Services. Ask them what accommodations are available for students with inattentive ADHD, and what documentation is needed to receive those accommodations.
