How to ask for a fee waiver?

I’m going to be taking a SAT Subject test and I qualify for a fee wavier, but I don’t know how to get it.

Is it like a form or something?

And does it cut the cost of the test or covers the cost completely?

you need to talk to your GC at school. And, I think the tests are free with the waiver.

You ask your counselor and they give you a code. The funny thing is my HS counselor was new and he didn’t know each senior was limited to only one waiver for SAT and one waiver for SAT II, so he gave some students multiple fee waivers for each test to the ones that were retaking it. ;)

There is a fail safe. tYou can use two fee waivers for the SAT and up to two for SAT Subject Tests. After that, the college board itself will not allow payment with a fee wavier.

Since OP is a rising sophomore and there is a 2 test limit for fee waivers, most GCs will not give a fee waiver to students who are at least juniors. OP will be taking the PSAT in October. S/he can begin prepping for that.
