How to Avoid Confusion? SCEA

So, I got accepted to college at a public rolling decision school. I’m also applying SCEA to a school that allows me to apply to a public rolling decision school (actually both Stanford and Yale do). So, I went around and told all my friends, and now everyone knows and I got like 500 congratulations even though it was my safety school.

My dad is now worried that people who know I’m also applying SCEA to a school will get confused and think that I broke the agreement, when I actually did not, but he is afraid that their ignorance and confusion will cause someone to report me even though I did nothing wrong. How do I make sure that all those people who know do not confuse such, or do not remember, or do not care, and if one were to report to the school, would the school actually research the case to vindicate me before slamming the banhammer?

Just a concern.

Who are all these people? The schools accepting you know their rules and the other stuff is just rumors. I wouldn’t waste your time worrying about this one–who are “they” going to report this to?

Well, my dad says other people who just want to be ****s or are applying SCEA too to the same school, though actually I know of only 1 other person who is and he’s quite intelligent so he wouldn’t make that mistake.

Your dad has nothing to worry about. You didn’t do anything wrong, if someone “reports” you, only THEY will look bad.
