Advice would be MUCH appreciated.

Watch: CS50 ([This is CS50 OpenCourseWare](http://cs50.tv/2010/fall/)) Harvard’s Introduction to Computer Science course. Although many students take this course not knowing how to write code, many others have gained admission by submitting websites with apps they have written.

So in the harvard app I just show them my websites, can I show them my games I made?

You can show it, but I don’t know how you can get the admission officers to watch it. Is there a way for you to obtain legitimacy for your project by having it looked over by a professional?

gibby,

could please explain more about these websites you’re talking about?

^ I will PM you a sample.

There’s no one right way to make yourself appealing - if you are a senior it’s pretty late to try to cram any new activities in. Unlike some universities you won’t be applying to the engineering school separately so if you haven’t done anything earthshaking don’t worry. When my son applied four years ago (and he was accepted though he chose to go to Carnegie Mellon instead) his main essay started with a computer program that he wrote. He also had a letter of recommendation from a professor for whom he’d made a program to help analyze chemicals and from the president of a computer software company for whom he had done some freelance work. He also mentioned under awards that Game Magazine had given a mod he’d worked on it’s top rating that year.

how to make yourself appealing as a female engineer vying for harvard? if i submitted early, does that show them i like them more than lets say mit or caltech? harvard, i feel, was too much of a reach, but people told me since i was engineering interested, it would be better.
