Hello,
Next semester, I will be a sophomore in college and I signed a 2-year housing agreement. The dorms I will soon to be staying in is over 3,200/semester and that’s way too much for me! I made a mistake and took out loans my first year but I had no choice. I just don’t want to be in debt when I graduate. What can I say to the school to make them consider breaking the contract? Do I need to lie or give a medical reason?
Tell the truth: you can’t afford to live on campus.
Do you think they would consider? Because I feel like they would turn me down and consider taking out more loans
A medical reason will likely require documentation.
