HI so I’m currently a Community College Student who applied to the UCs more specifically UCD, UCSC, UCSB, UCLA, UCR, and UCSD, however I’m worried about financial Aid. My sister currently attends CSUN (and is either a freshman or sophomore due to her completed units, so she’ll be either a sophomore or a Junior when i begin in the Fall) and only got financial aid through loans and I’m worried if I’ll be in that same situation. Will the UCs tell me my package and type of aid I’ll receive through email or student portal, or will I have to contact them myself. I understand my family income is almost 106k but with parents who pay bills, my sister’s education, and mortgage I’m worried that paying for my education will further strain their income especially that I’ll have to live on campus for all of them except UCLA
If it helps my Estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC)= 008812
When will your sister graduate for. CSUN?
Since your EFC is low, you probably will get a good bit of aid …but once your sister graduates your EFC will go up to about $18,000 so you might not get much then.
Why not run the net price calculator on a UC website.
Run it twice…once with 2 in college
And then once with 1 in college and 1 less person in the household…for after your sister graduates and they’ll be one less in the household.
She is currently a freshman but i believe she has enough units from high school to be considered a sophomore. When I begin she’ll either be a sophomore or a Junior, the same as me. However I’m not sure when she’ll graduate as she just changed her major and is a bit indecisive on it.
Well even if she graduates I’m sure she’ll probably continue living at home until she has enough saved up and become financially stable enough to support herself.
Oh she’s younger. You will probably graduate first, correct? You’ll be a junior next fall, correct?
Run the npc and copy/paste the results here.

Yes I will enter as a junior and more than likely I will graduate first, or if not worst case scenario is that we graduate in the same year
Can you copy paste what aid they gave you
And you did indicate two in college right
