I’m going to be very honest; I’ve gotten into both Spelman College and St. Edward’s University and the dates are coming up and I’m stuck between both of them. I have no idea, even though there is technically no wrong choice. The social aspect about a school is just as important as the academics, but I’m nervous about social life at Spelman College. I think I just visited on a wrong day because I hardly saw anyone out and doing anything, but when I went to St. Edward’s I fell in love with just about everything there. Everyone I talk to wants me to attend Spelman, but I’m just nervous about it. Does anyone have anything to tell me about Spelman?
Here’s your answer: “when I went to St. Edward’s I fell in love with just about everything there.”
You’re the one who’s going to be living, learning, and making friends at a school for the next four years. If a place feels more appealing to you than another, your vote should count the most. You have two excellent choices, go with what you “love.” Besides, Austin is a terrific place to live.
If someone prefers or loves Spelman, which is perfectly understandable, then they should choose if they have the opportunity.
Go where you want, work hard, treat everyone with respect, have some fun, and enjoy the ride! Good luck!
