How to compensate for weak schedule

Hello,

I am new to CC, and would like to know

if there is any way to compensate weak schedule.

I heard of self-studying APs,

but from some adcoms,

they said the AP scores are not factored in the admissions process.

Rather, they pointed out that taking AP class is factored in.

Is there any way to make up the weak schedule?

There must be a way!

Please please answer

Just so you know, if your schedule is “weak” (not a lot of AP or Honors classes etc) because your school doesn’t offer them then you won’t be penalized. But I suppose showing some dedication to ECs, getting good test scores and teacher recommendations, good essays, good GPA - this will all help you out.

Oh and you can always just self study APs if you do want to for fun - I’m doing that for psychology this semester because I couldn’t fit the class into my schedule, but I do find it really interesting.

So take a deep breath, you’ll be fine! :)
