Ok so in order to for me to apply for engineering as a transfer I have to finish up linear algebra by spring of sophomore year but I’m currently in precalculus and then next semester I’ll start calc then I’ll do calc 2 and 3 soph year but in order to do linear algebra I have to complete calc 3 is it possible for me to take calc 2 at a community college in the summer or will the ucs not accept it
Yes take Calc 2 in the summer 2016. Why do you think they won’t accept it?
You can take calculus 2 in the summer to get back on track.
Also, linear algebra and calculus 3 do not have a prerequisite relationship at many schools. I.e. you can take both at the same time after completing calculus 2.
What if my school doesn’t offer calc 2 in the summer
Then look for it at another school!
Yes, you can take it at a community college (but be sure to verify that your school will accept the that particular transfer course to fulfill calculus 2 for your major).
How do I do that
You can use http://www.assist.org to check to see what courses fulfill the requirements for your major at your target UCs and CSUs.
