How to create a book of emails and letters?

I want to create something like a photo book but instead of photos I want the pages to be letters and emails sent to my H on the occasion of his retirement. He has been with his company for > 50 years and he has received hundreds of notes from friends and colleagues, as well as many Facebook posts. It would mean a lot to him to have these messages preserved in writing. I suppose I could print them all out but I’d rather do something more permanent.

Has anyone used any of the photo book sites for something like this? I would probably cut and paste the emails into Word documents or PDFs. I can scan the letters. Not sure how I’d preserve the Facebook messages – screen shots, maybe? And I’d probably want to include some photos, as well.

I welcome any and all suggestions – thanks!

You can certainly scan and upload files and create a memory book. I did that for my D as a HS graduation gift and used Shutterfly.

This would also make a cool scrapbooking project if you are so inclined and have enough snail mail type letters.

This may not work for you as you already have the messages, but something my cousin is doing for her sister’s big birthday.

Several years back, I made a few books for some big milestone birthdays. I looked at a lot of online companies and toyed with the software on a few and went with Mixbook. I found their software by far the most intuitive and easy to use with plenty of features. Perhaps the landscape has changed since then but I’d go back to Mixbook.

For emails, you could use photos or screenshots or to make it look a little more attractive, retype the sentiments.

I would use screenshots for the Facebook messages. It will give people in the future another glimpse of the times. We have used Shutterfly and been happy with it.
This is a great idea!
