How to Decide btwn UCLA & Berkeley for Art History???

  • undergrad
    -junior transfer student.
    To be honest, I didn’t think I would be accepted to either- they were my reaches.So I was stoked to find out I’d been accepted to both.
    I’m interested in Renaissance/Baroque right now and am hoping to eventually become a professor.
    Any advice?
    Pros&Cons?
    Opinions on both?</p>

<p>im in the same boat. i got accepted to both, and am totally confused as to which is better for me. i was leaning toward ucla, since i thought i wouldn’t get into berkeley, but now im lost. </p>

<p>It depends on where you think you can possibly get a job. Additionally, getting a professorship at the UC’s is extremely difficult. Both areas are going to have ridiculously high rents. </p>

<p>UC Berkeley is probably ranked higher. UCLA is not far behind. Getting a PhD from either one of those school is very difficult.</p>
