How to deny early action acceptance?

i applied to northeastern for EA and NYU for ED, and luckily i got accepted to both.
my first choice is definitely NYU plus it’s binding.
so my question is do i have to like explicitly deny NU or do i just not do anything to respond as if i chose to go there? since its EA and not binding, will they automatically assume that im not going if i dont respond?

or should i call them and withdraw or deny their admission just in case NYU gets mad at me?

thanks

make the NEU account and you can deny it on there.

They won’t automatically assume you aren’t going, so you need to go reject it. When I was a senior, I got into UF and FSU early on in the year. I formally said no to FSU via their website (like you should do for NEU), but I just ignored UF. A year later I was still getting annoying emails about deadlines for textbooks and registration at UF.

In your acceptance letter you should have been given information about how to create a student account into the NEU student portal. Follow the instructions, and then once you have logged in you can go to your page and click the “decline enrollment” option.
