I’m struggling to find some time space to commit myself to many clubs/orgs while working and studying at a local comm. college. Is there a way? Should I explore more on campus or outside of campus or perhaps at work?
Unless you are truly interested in those “many clubs/orgs”, drop all but those that you truly care about. Your grades will be the most important thing at transfer time. If you need to work, then that would be the second most important thing in your life. Clubs and the like come dead last.
It’s fine to be committed to a few. You don’t have to be committed to many. Since you work, that already takes up a lot of the time. I would just choose 1-2 activities to commit to. I committed to 3-4 activities (I didn’t work) during my time at CC so it was manageable for me.
