Hi. There’s a lot of questions ask about how to do the Reading section. I have tried to do it 2 ways: read the passage first, then answer the questions; and read the question first then find the answer in the passage. Neither one worked well for me.
I like to read the passage first better, I got more answers right but I totally run out of time.
I read slowly cause I am not from the U.S. I want a good strategy to do well on the Reading section. Can anyone who had high score on the Reading help me?
I’m taking the ACT next week! Please help me!

Doesn’t matter your native language is English or not, if you read enough you will have the strength to pull reading off within the time limit.

There are plenty of International students with spectacular scores, English not as first language would not be an excuse. I would say if you want to do ACT, read plenty of article from today on. I’d say read around 40-50 400 words article to make up your loss.

ACT Reading is testing your reading ability, there’s not a way around reading. Strategy would work, but only if you can read well first.

Just keep practicing, practicing, practicing. If you continue to practice and get used to the boring reading, you should be perfectly fine.

Thank you guys. I get it.
I will practice reading more to improve my skill.
